Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 24, 2026
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Grounds for Promotion, LLC (“Grounds for Promotion,” “GFP,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a digital marketing agency located at 1919 14th St, Suite 700, Boulder, Colorado 80302.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you visit groundsforpromotion.com, go.groundsforpromotion.com, or any other page that links to this policy (together, the “Sites”), when you buy something from us, or when you talk with us by email, phone, or video call.
This policy does not cover data we process on behalf of our agency clients under a separate client agreement. In those cases, our client’s privacy policy and our agreement with them apply.
By using the Sites, you acknowledge that you have read this policy. If you have questions, email us at holler@groundsforpromotion.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form, book a call, buy a product, or email us, we collect what you provide. This typically includes your name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, website, and anything you write in a message or form field. If you share your screen or discuss your advertising accounts on a call with us, we will see whatever information you choose to show.
Purchase information. When you buy from us, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your payment card details directly. We do not receive or store your full card number. We do receive a record of the transaction, such as your name, email, billing address, the products purchased, the amount, and the last four digits of your card.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Sites, we and our technology partners automatically collect certain information through cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, approximate location (city or region, derived from IP address), pages viewed, time on page, links and buttons clicked, video viewing activity, the website or ad that referred you, and advertising click identifiers (such as Google’s gclid or Meta’s fbclid). See Section 4 for details.
Information from third parties. We may receive information about you from advertising platforms (for example, that you clicked one of our ads), from lead forms you submit on platforms such as LinkedIn or Meta, and from business directories or referral partners.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to your inquiries and provide the services or products you request
- Process payments, deliver purchases, and schedule and conduct calls
- Send transactional messages, such as order confirmations, call reminders, and access links
- Send marketing emails and, where you have opted in, text messages (you can opt out at any time)
- Measure and improve the performance of the Sites and our advertising
- Show you relevant ads on other websites and platforms, and measure whether those ads led to a visit, lead, or sale
- Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with legal obligations
4. Cookies, pixels, and analytics
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Pixels and tags are small pieces of code that send information about your visit to us or to a technology partner. We use them for three purposes:
- Essential: to make the Sites, forms, and checkout work and keep them secure.
- Analytics: to understand how visitors use the Sites so we can improve them.
- Advertising: to measure ad performance and to show ads to people who have visited the Sites (sometimes called “retargeting” or “remarketing”).
The technology partners we currently use or may use include:
| Tool | Purpose | Learn more or opt out |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager | Site analytics and tag management | Google Analytics opt-out add-on |
| Google Ads | Ad measurement and remarketing | Google Ad Settings |
| Meta Pixel and Conversions API (Facebook, Instagram) | Ad measurement and remarketing | Meta ad preferences |
| LinkedIn Insight Tag | Ad measurement and remarketing | LinkedIn ad settings |
| Microsoft Advertising (UET tag) | Ad measurement and remarketing | Microsoft ad settings |
| GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) | Landing pages, forms, checkout, scheduling, CRM, and email | GoHighLevel privacy policy |
| CallRail (future use) | Call tracking and dynamic phone numbers | CallRail privacy policy |
| Embedded video players | Playing video on our pages; the video host may set its own cookies | See the host’s privacy policy |
Also, additional tags may fire, such as a HubSpot tracking code or a chat widget, and may not be included on the above list.
Some of these tools, such as Meta’s Conversions API, send information from our servers directly to the platform rather than through your browser. When we do this, we send data such as a hashed (scrambled) email address or phone number so the platform can match the conversion to an ad, without our sharing your contact details in readable form.
Your choices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use the opt-out links above, or visit the industry opt-out tools at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the Sites work. Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal; because there is no common standard for it, the Sites do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. For Global Privacy Control, see Section 9.
5. Call and meeting recordings
Video calls. We may record video calls held on Google Meet or similar platforms, including purchased build-out calls, so we can refer back to what was discussed, share the recording with you, and train our team. We will tell you at the start of any call we plan to record. If you do not want to be recorded, tell us and we will not record, or we will stop recording. Recordings may capture your voice, image, name, screen shares, and anything you say or show.
Phone calls. We may use a call-tracking service, such as CallRail, which displays unique phone numbers on the Sites so we can tell which ad or page led to a call. When this service is active, it may record information such as your phone number, caller ID name, call date, time and duration, and the page or ad that led to the call. Calls to these numbers may also be recorded and transcribed for quality, training, and marketing measurement. When calls are recorded, we will play or give a notice at the start of the call. By staying on the line after that notice, you consent to recording.
We keep recordings, transcripts, and notes from tools like Google Meet and others only as long as they are useful for these purposes (see Section 8) and they may be used third-party artificial intelligence models
6. Email and text messages
We use GoHighLevel to send email. When you buy from us, submit a form, or book a call, we will send you transactional messages about that request. We may also add you to our marketing email list. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and we will honor your request promptly. Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not stop transactional messages about a purchase or scheduled call.
Text messages. If you provide your mobile number and check a box or otherwise agree to receive texts, we may send appointment reminders and, if you separately agree, marketing messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of any purchase. We do not share or sell your mobile number or text-messaging opt-in consent with third parties for their marketing purposes, although we may used hashed customer lists with this info to target ads on platforms like Meta Ads.
7. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not give or rent your contact information to other companies for their own marketing.
We share personal information only in these situations:
- Service providers. Companies that help us run our business, such as GoHighLevel (website, CRM, email, scheduling), Stripe (payments), Google Workspace and Google Meet (email, files, and video calls), our website host, and call-tracking and analytics providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Advertising and analytics partners. As described in Section 4, advertising platforms such as Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and Microsoft receive information about your activity on the Sites through cookies, pixels, and server-side connections. These platforms may combine it with other information they hold about you and use it under their own privacy policies. Under some state privacy laws, this type of disclosure for targeted advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, even though no money changes hands. You can opt out as described in Section 9.
- Legal and safety reasons. When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, prevent fraud, or protect someone’s safety.
- Business transfers. If Grounds for Promotion is merged, acquired, or sells its assets, personal information may transfer to the new owner, who will be bound by this policy for information collected under it.
- With your consent. In any other situation where you ask or agree for us to share it.
8. How long we keep information, and how we protect it
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy. As a general guide:
- Leads and contacts: until you ask us to delete them or they have been inactive for up to seven years.
- Purchase and billing records: seven years, for tax and accounting purposes.
- Call and meeting recordings: up to two years, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Analytics and advertising data: according to each platform’s retention settings, typically 14 to 26 months.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), payment handling through a PCI-compliant processor, access controls, and a password manager for account credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
Everyone. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time, opt out of texts by replying STOP, control cookies through your browser and the links in Section 4, and email us to ask what information we hold about you or to correct or delete it.
Residents of US states with privacy laws. Depending on where you live (including Colorado, California, Virginia, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you and access a copy
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete personal information we collected from you
- Opt out of targeted advertising and of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights
How to make a request. Email holler@groundsforpromotion.com with the subject line “Privacy Request” and tell us what you would like us to do. We will need to verify your identity, usually by confirming your email address, before acting on a request. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may ask for proof of their authority. We will respond within the time required by law, generally 45 days. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the subject line “Privacy Appeal,” and we will respond within the time the law requires.
Opting out of targeted advertising. To opt out of the use of your information for targeted advertising, you can email us, use the opt-out links in Section 4, or enable Global Privacy Control (GPC) in a supporting browser. Where required by applicable law, we treat a GPC signal as a valid request to opt out of targeted advertising and sales for that browser.
Some of these laws apply only to businesses above certain size or data-volume thresholds. We offer these choices to all US visitors regardless, as a matter of good practice.
10. Visitors from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
Our business is based in the United States and our services are aimed at US businesses. If you visit from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, the following also applies.
Controller. Grounds for Promotion, LLC is the controller of your personal information and can be reached at holler@groundsforpromotion.com.
Legal bases. We process your personal information based on: performance of a contract (to deliver a purchase or call you booked); our legitimate interests (to respond to inquiries, secure the Sites, and market our services to businesses, balanced against your rights); your consent (for non-essential analytics and advertising cookies and pixels, and for marketing messages where consent is required), which you can withdraw at any time; and legal obligation (for tax and accounting records).
Your rights. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email us. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
International transfers. Your information will be processed in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as our service providers’ participation in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK and Swiss extensions) or Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Children
The Sites and our products are intended for adults and businesses. They are not directed at children under 13, and you must be at least 18 to make a purchase. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will provide more prominent notice, such as a notice on the Sites or an email to customers.
